GSF USA Company History

GSF Group at a glance

-          GSF stands for Group Services France. The group has been founded in France in 1963.
-          GSF has established strong partnerships all over Europe with an organization called: GEIE ECS
-          GSF established in Canada in 1983, in the USA in 1987, in the United Kingdom in 1988 and in Spain in 1998
-          More than 25,500 people are employed all over the world
-          Today there are over 100 entities all over France
-          The group’s revenue in 2008 was over $700 million 

GSF USA, Inc 

GSF established in USA in 1987. 

GSF first acquired Safeway Building Services in Indiana in 1987, then North American Janitorial Services in Ohio in 1992 and finally GSF acquired CBS & MEI in 2005 in Illinois. 

Today, GSF USA, Inc provides cleaning & support services that are tailored to fit any kind of facility building for over 30 million square feet everyday with more than 1,400 employees all over the United States.  

Our financial strength allows us to have a robust Research & Development department that is very oriented towards innovative and sustainable cleaning processes.

The R&D team is composed with microbiologists, pharmacists, medical engineers, quality engineers, time and motion engineers, industrial engineers.

Their mission is to create best in class cleaning processes based on criteria such as efficiency of cleaning in terms of quality and time-wise. 

They also test on site or in our cleanroom, and then recommend the equipment and chemicals for the entire group use, based on efficiency, employee & customer safety and how environmentally friendly they are.  

In short, GSF’s R&D experts create our sustainable cleaning processes. That is what makes GSF’s difference.
